Bhutan is home to many species of birds that are in danger of world extinction. The imperial Heron one of the fifty rarest birds in the world including the rare Black Necked Cranes. The cranes can be spotted in the Phobjikha valleys in central Bhutan.They migrate to these winter roosting sites in the month of September and October and fly back to Tibet in the month of February and March
