One of the biggest festivals in the country holds Thimphu for three days.The Tsehchu is witnessed by thousand of people both local and tourists. The Tsechu is a Buddhist festival in honour of Guru Rimpoche, the saint who brought Buddhism to Bhutan. This festival also provides a great opportunity to witness locals gathered in their finest Gho’s and Kira’s in a celebration of culture and faith.The tshechu precededd by days and rituals prayers in the night to invoke the gods.
